What is the Phase One SDK?

The Phase One SDK provides a set of tools which enables you to build custom applications for image capturing and processing with Phase One digital back files.

Will the Phase One SDK work with files from DSLRs?

No, currently the Phase One SDK only works with files from Phase One aerial cameras and digital backs.

Which devices are supported with the SDK?

Does the SDK work in a server environment?

Yes, the SDK works in server environments on Windows, Linux and Mac platforms

What programming skills are required to work with the SDK?

The SDK requires good knowledge and skills for programming in C# (Windows platform), ObjectiveC (Mac OS X platform) and C++ for Windows, Mac OS and Linux platforms.

Are there alternatives to the SDK for automating capturing or processing?

You can use the Capture One Processing Engine (COPE) to enable automatic post-processing of multiple image files according to pre-determined parameters. In addition, Capture One Pro for Mac OS X supports Apple scripts. This will enable image automation with moderate programming skills.

If I have Capture One PRO already do I have access to the SDK?

No, the SDK is an independent product, which needs to be purchased separately.

Do I need Capture One to run the Phase One SDK?

No, all relevant components are available through the SDK

Who can I contact for support on the SDK?

Included in your annual subscriptions is the possibility for you to create up to 5 support cases. Support cases should be created online via www.phaseone.com/support

Which operating systems are supported?

The Phase One SDK is compatible with the following operating systems:

  • Windows 8.1®, Windows 10® in 64-bit versions
  • Mac OS X 10.10 or later (for use with Phase One digital backs)
  • Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) is supported in SDK 9.3.0

The Phase One SDK is available as an annual subscription for 2795 USD / 1995 EUR (excl. sales taxes and VAT).

What are the minimum system requirements?

The Phase One SDK may run on other and older equipment than what's listed below but to ensure the best possible results we recommend that your computer at minimum conforms to the following specifications:

Microsoft® Windows®:

  • CPU with 2 cores or better, 8 GB of RAM, 10 GB of free hard disk space
  • Windows 8.1® 64-bit, Windows 10® 64-bit
  • Microsoft® .NET Framework version 4.6.2 (will be installed if not present)
  • A PDF reader is needed to read the Release Notes


Apple Mac OS X:

  • CPU with 2 cores or better, 8 GB of RAM, 10 GB of free hard disk space
  • Mac OS X 10.10 or later
  • A PDF reader is needed to read the Release Notes

Linux:

  • CPU with 2 cores or better, 8 GB of RAM, 10 GB of free hard disk space

What are the hardware and software compatibilities?

The Phase One SDK is compatible with the Capture One 10.1.2 or later. This means that specifying a given, supported setting for an image via the SDK and the Capture One software will render the same result.
