Building your system with Phase One cameras

Phase one cameras are integrated with complementing components in diverse aerial imaging systems.
This page shares the experience gained by Phase One and other building block providers in generating an airborne photography system.

GNSS

GNSS

Phase One cameras are integrated with GPS/IMU systems and save the GPS/IMU data as part of the exposure information. The communication is RS232 and I/O. There are two connection modes: Event driven and Continuous.

  • Event driven - requires a GPS that supports event I/O. The GPS gets a Mid Exposure Pulse (MEP) from the camera and sends data to the camera.
  • Continuous — the GPS sends the data in a continuous NMEA stream to the camera. The camera stores the received data after MEP.
